Introduction to Minnesota School of Business
The Minnesota School of Business established in 1877 by Alexander R. Archibald. The first classes taught involved learning shorthand, bookkeeping, penmanship and English. Originally called Archibald Business College, the school was sold and moved within Minneapolis, and was later sold and relocated again.
By 1969, ITT Educational Services Inc. had acquired the school, and in 1988, Terry L. Myhre bought the Minnesota Business School, forming a relationship with his other acquisition, Globe University. It has eight other campus locations in Minnesota, including Moorhead, Richfield, Shakopee, Rochester, Blaine, Brooklyn Center, Plymouth and Waite Park.
